Man, we've been dealing with this property to try and close it
for the longest time. But the banks are dragging their feet and the city
is assessing more and more fines by the day.
I called into the city the other day to ask for an update on liens and fees and it has gone up significantly. The last I checked, the city said they would assess an addition $5K fine if they don't get any answers. I asked the city to work with me so we can close this deal and they said they would hold off. So the city is doing what they can to not assess more fees but the bank is taking it's sweet o' time.
I am gonna try and fill out the "fee forgiveness form" from the City and submit it next week to see. The Inspector from the city said they might be able to forgive up to 90% of the fees (that have not been liened to the property) if we can show that we are taking the necessary steps to take some action on the property. The City even called me back to see where we are with that. I guess they just want someone to take it over and so it won't be a hazard and nuisance to the neighborhood. I gotta give the city credit for this one. But the banks are a different story.
Let's see how the banks will respond. I guess with these REO Bank Owned properties, we just gotta be patient.
Side Note: Pretty cool guys. I did ALL this from my HTC 3D Phone from Sprint. I sound like I am doing a commercial for them. Only if SPRINT would pay me for this...hehehe...
UNTIL NEXT TIME...
